Taiyabah Masjid is open for all of the five daily prayers and can accommodate over 500 people. During the day and evening the main prayer hall can be used for reading the Qur’an and quiet contemplation. During busy times such as Friday prayer, Eid prayer and the Taraweeh prayers in Ramadhan, an additional hall downstairs is utilised which can double the capacity.
Advice & Counselling
Muslims turn to the masjid for help and advice in all matters of their day-to-day life. Taiyabah Masjid has trained staff to advise and counsel on the many concerns of the community such as bereavement, cultural challenges and generational issues. The masjid also frequently hosts scholars to give discourses and advice on reformation. Those wishing to engage in Tablighi activities can find a welcome home at the masjid with daily ta’leem (reflecting on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh) and gusht (proactively meeting others to encourage self awareness).
As more people find out about Islam, many decide to revert. This raises challenges for the masjid to help and support new muslims. Some face difficulties from friends and family who may turn them out. Taiyabah Masjid provides advice, support and friendship and New Muslim Dawah Packs are available for any one interested in Islam.
